What is Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

DBT is a specific form of CBT which has been adapted to help people who experience severe emotional distress. The therapy focuses on teaching people new skills and strategies that can help them develop a life that is worth living. DBT focuses on core skills of: Mindfulness, Emotion regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Distress tolerance.
